Madrid... again!

I just landed after about 5 nights in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I went for my good friends' wedding and it was a great time. I usually make far too many plans for my time when I take trips...but this time around I had little on the agenda, and so I mostly just hung around with Joe and Christine, catching up, hearing their banginest new 45s, helping out a little for the wedding, and meeting the whole family. Because, of course, everyone came to town -- moms, dads, stepmoms and stepdads, uncles, sisters... even Joe's grandpa Amos who is a WW2 hero.

The wedding was real pretty, real simple, and real fun. About 75 people attended-- friends, family, the A-bones, and DJ Tim Warren. A pretty allstar cast... Billy wrote a special Wheel of Fortune / G-L-O-R-I-A schtick about a fleabrained get-rich-quick scheme of Joe's that was hilarious. Who's got video??

After the reception, we had an afterparty in my hotel room. Half-naked fools splashed around in the tub while I jumped/danced on the bed in the middle of a giant cloud of smoke to the badassed 45s that kid from Baltimore was spinning on my GP-3, which was hooked up to my coolest recent purchase -- a battery-powered sound system on wheels! it's the size of an LP box but it's loud enough to get people moving just about anywhere you bring it!!

That's it for now. I'm back in Spain and on tour with the Spits. We're in Palencia, and it's time to go play records at the afterparty.
